Bitch'n, Bitch, Bitching....

It seemed time for me to add another blog to my collection. I have been tardy of late so I have plenty to catch up on. This title seemed to fit as all the things I will write tend to fall under at least one of those categories. You'll see what I mean...

Bitch'n - I am so loving my jobs it's fantastic! During the day being in the classroom with the kids and helping to teach them and shape their minds is amazing. Then going to the pool and teaching them how to swim (different kids of course) in the evenings is incredible too. I am lucky and fortunate to have 2 jobs I love and adore as much as I do.

Bitch - Yesterday when I got to the school in the morning the entire parking lot was full. So I proceeded to drive around a few times as history has shown it's mostly parents dropping off kids and if you wait just a few minutes a space will open. After 2 turns I see a mother coming back out toward her vehicle. I go round to where she's parked and turn on my left blinker to indicate I intend to take the space. And I wait. She fiddles around and then gets into the drivers side. As I am waiting I see another vehicle come up next to me on the right. This driver is obviously looking for a parking spot so I assume she is going to around. She doens't. Instead she sits next to me and seems to be waiting. I honk my horn. No response. I honk my horn again and the driver looks over at me. With a smile I motion "Hey, I am going to take that spot, just so you know." She looks at me and turns away. No reaction and not moving her vehicle. I once again honk, she looks and again (with more of a grimace) I motion, "This is MY spot. I am waiting. You need to move on." She looks me dead in the eye and shrugs her shoulders. Yes, she does. I am totally taken aback. WTF?! By now the mother has backed out and is turning towards us (ignoring the One Way flow of traffic through the school lot). As soon as she is out of the space, bitch-driver turns, cuts me off and pulls into the empty parking space. I am completely shocked and have to remember to lift up my jaw and drive on. Seriously?! I mean, you don't just take other people's spots. WTF?! I, then, had to go round the lot, down the street and park a few blocks away from the school. Oh! And I should mention, I watched her walk in - she had no child she was dropping off, seemed in no hurry to be going inside and was not talking on a cell phone. So any possible reason for being rude is eliminated and she is just one of the few honest to goodness Bitches out there in the world. Nice!

Bitching - I know this happened a bit ago but I never did get to comment on the situation so here goes - What the HELL was Kanye West thinking?! First of all, who the hell does he think he is? Interrupting an acceptance speech to say who he thinks should have won? I mean, if I had a dime for every time I felt the 'wrong' person won an award I would be a rich, rich woman. However, I would NEVER do something as rude, inconsiderate and downright classless as get up on stage and voice the opinion. Hell no! Second of all, I think Katie Perry said it best when she said that the entire situation of Kanye taking the mic from Taylor Swift was like watching him step on a kitten. Taylor Swift (like her or not and I am slowing developing a fondness) is a very sweet, mild mannered girl. She's a kid. And here comes on this brass, crude and obviously intoxicated well-known celebrity who steals the mic (doesn't ask nicely but takes it), and basically says, "Hey kid, you shouldn't have won." How Taylor managed to even stay standing up there and not burst into tears or run off stage is beyond me. I probably would have either broke down or shoved his ass off the stage. Who am I kidding? He would still be pulling front row seats out his ass if it had been me on that stage. And lastly, he went off on how Beyonce should have won Best Female Video, that was his argument. They ignored Beyonce, who made one of the 'best videos of all time' and instead gave it to this little, po-dunk, country girl. That was his stance, that was his issue. However, just a little while longer... "And the winner of Video of the Year is ... Beyonce!" Yeah, Kanye, shut the fuck up! I mean, THAT is why you wait until the entire award show is OVER before you stand up and voice your "she was robbed" cry. They didn't ignore her video, they just thought it was better than even HE did by giving it the highest award of the evening. WTF?! But Beyonce - if she isn't the post child for class I don't know what is. Here she is, sitting there shocked and looking pissed when Kanye grabs the mic and singles her out as more talented. However, she says nothing other than to the person next to her, almost a "What the Fuck?!" Then, she wins Video of the Year. VIDEO OF THE YEAR! And what does she do? Instead of getting up there and giving her speech and thanking all those who helped and such, she instead calls Taylor Swift up on stage and let's HER have the moment Kanye stole, shit on and threw back. Beyonce didn't need to do that. She could have apologized or just ignored the entire situation. But she didn't. She not only took the high road, she got on a frickin plane and left the ground! I am so impressed at both Taylor's composer and Beyonce's class that I finally feel as though there may just be some decent celebrity role models out there for young kids. As for Kanye, watching him on Leno the following night I felt his apologies and everything was completely insincere and just proved how much of an egomaniac he is. However, when Jay asked about his mother and how she would react to his behavior, Kanye seemed totally caught off guard and speechless. For the first time ever in my life, I swear I could have kissed Jay Leno. I hope that Little Boy Kanye learns a thing or two, is no longer allowed any alcohol at award shows (or maybe even denied access) and has a significant drop in record sales. He needs to grow up or be 'excused' from his fan-base. Idolizing an asshole like that is the LAST thing anyone, young or old, should do in our society.
